While men’s styles are fairly limited in comparison to the wide array of options available to women, the upside to being a man is that, while options are relatively limited, the classic mens styles that she’ll adore are easy enough to pick from without being overwhelmed by a sheer variety of options. Yes, the sheer simplicity of the mens shirts, pants, shoes and suits available makes it quite easy to make a selection without fear of dressing tacky or distastefully.

There are a few styles that men can choose from that have always been a hit with the ladies. While many young men today are content to dress in t-shirts and jeans regardless of the occasion, these two styles, at opposite ends of the spectrum, will set any man apart from the crowd.

Casual

Rather than merely throwing on whatever is hanging around, casual dress should suggest an attention to, but not an obsession with one’s appearance. Casual dress may mean jeans and sneakers with a nice dress shirt or a t-shirt with slacks and loafers. Combining nicer clothing with casual wear suggests a refined nature minus the pretension that comes with someone who dresses in a full preppy style wherever they go.

They say that you don’t want to dress for the job you have, you want to dress for the job you want. Giving off an aura of elegance, success and power begins not with your job, but with you. You might never make more than five figures a year, but in carrying yourself like a man who commands power and respect, you come across as a person of class and refinement.

Dressing to impress or attract a date really comes down to simply not trying too hard. Present yourself well, but don’t look uptight or fussy. Be a refined, well presented version of yourself, but yourself nevertheless.
